On 28/07/14 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle or for any person to travel on the roads stated below, by reason of works to be executed on or near the road.

 

The Order is in force from 00:01 hrs on 02/08/14 until 24:00 hrs on 27/02/15 and will only be implemented when appropriate signs are displayed.

 

ROAD CLOSED TO ALL VEHICULAR & PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC

From 00:01hrs on 02/08/14 to 24:00hrs on 30/11/14

Garden St, Kilmarnock, from Hill St to Portland St. Alternative Route: via Hill St and Portland St, Kilmarnock.

 

From 00:01 hrs on 04/08/14 until 24:00 hrs on 27/02/15

Dean Rd, Kilmarnock, from Dean Castle Country Park Car Park to Otterburn Av. Pedestrian access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closure will be permitted to and from their properties but not via the ford. Alternative Route: Pedestrians should follow the path/bridge that is on the south side of the ford and vehicular traffic should proceed via South Dean Rd, Grassyards Rd, Strawberrybank Rd, Townholm, High St, Union St, Wellington St, Dean St, Dean Terrace, Beansburn and Dean Rd or via Beansburn, Dean Terrace, Dean St, Dean Lane, Townholm, Strawberrybank Rd, Grassyards Rd, South Dean Rd and Dean Rd.
