NOTICE is hereby given that the above named Notice has been made under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, use of the following road by the under noted classes of vehicle shall be restricted as stated herein -

Name of Road - Whatriggs Road and Merrick Road, Kilmarnock

Affected Length of Road - 1. Whatriggs Road - From its junction with Merrick Road to 93 Whatriggs Road

                                     2. Merrick Road - From its junction with Whatriggs Road to its junction with

                                         Lammermuir Road

Nature of Restriction - Road Closure

Period of Restriction - From 07:00 hours on Monday 21st July until 18:00 hours on Friday 25th July 2014.

Reason for Restriction - Carriageway Resurfacing

Classes of Vehicles Affected - All (except for vehicles engaged in the works or vehicles requiring access to

                                           properties within or via the closed road)

Alternative Routes:- 

1. Diverted traffic should proceed via Haining Avenue, Hurlford Road, New Street and Whatriggs Road and

    vice versa.

2. Diverted traffic should proceed via Lammermuir Road, Wyvis Road, Treeswoodhead Road,

    Witchknowe Road and Whatriggs Road and vice versa
