On 24/06/14 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order. This Order will restrict the use of roads as stated below. These restrictions are required to maintain road safety during the Barratt Homes development near B7038, Kilmarnock and bridge strengthening works on the B744, Galston.

 

The Order is in force from 00:01 hrs on 30/06/14 until 24:00 hrs on 27/12/15 and will be implemented on the dates stated below and only when appropriate signs are displayed.

 

From 00:01hrs on 30/06/14 to 24:00hrs on 27/12/15

30mph Speed Limit

B7038, Glasgow Rd, Kilmarnock – from existing 30mph speed limit at Craighall Farm northwards for a distance of 370 metres or thereby.

Banned Right Turn

No vehicle shall be permitted to turn right onto B7038, Glasgow Rd, Kilmarnock from the Barrett Homes development at Craighall Farm.

 

From 07:00hrs on 07/07/14 to 16:00hrs on 26/09/14

Road Closed to Vehicular & Pedestrian Traffic

B744, Galston – 50 metres either side of Little Sorn Burn Bridge.

Alternative Route: via A719 and A76 and vice versa.
